Welcome to Valley View Family Farm!           Don, Shelly, Alyssa, & Brooke welcome you to our family farm. We raise registered fullblood, percentage Boer Goats, and show wethers. We are active as part of the American Boer Goat Association, our local 4H, FFA, and the University of Illinois extension board.  Herd pedigrees include, Ash Creek, Agnew's Collateral Damage, DSM Sir Edmond, Eggs, LCBG Another Notch, Aragorn, Point of Grace, Trump, Powell/Holman Bingo, Renoir, Ryals Gauge, Magnum, Top Brass, and Remington. Of course there is more to consider than just a pedigree when looking to purchase an animal. Our farm provides animals with style, balance, and breed characteristics with outstanding show records. Our daughter, Alyssa was awarded the 2007 IL State Fair Jr show Grand Champion Buck, Reserve Champion Jr Percentage Doe, & Full Blood Premiere Exhibitor Award and 2nd place open show wether!!! Alyssa was also awarded the 2007 Stark County 4H Fair Grand Champion Doe, Reserve Champion Doe, 1st place wether, and Showmanship award!!!   We are proud to have once again bred and raised champions of the 2008 Illinois State Fair Open & Jr show. Alyssa was awarded % Doe Yr Grand & Overall Reserve Grand Champion, Fullblood Doe Jr Reserve Grand Champion, Land of Lincoln Division Grand & Land of Lincoln Overall Reserve Grand Champion, Fullblood Buck Reserve Grand Champion & Land of Lincoln Grand Champion. Our herd sire DGBG Thunderstruck  - ABGA Open show Overall Reserve Grand Champion Buck!!!! Our fall 2008- spring 2009 kid crops are sired by DGBG Thunderstruck,  Rockin C/ V V F F WildKat, and AABG 21 Gun Salute. Again this year's sires have tremendous show records and outstanding genetics that we are proud to incorporate into our herd and offer to other breeders who are looking to improve their herd. Should you want a kid from a particular sire, please email or call to reserve your choice. Toulon is located in Stark County, which is within an hour from Peoria, Galesburg, and the Quad Cities. Why Goats??  Boer Goats can adapt to many different enviroments. Not only are they hardy animals, they are intelligent, affectionate & fun. Let's not forgot how adorable those babies are! Everyone has a story as to how they started. Ours goes like this...We began with one percentage doe to be used as a 4H project for our oldest daughter. After the first show, we were hooked. This little 4H project led to enjoyment by our entire family. More goats were soon to follow. We continue to experience fun and success at many shows. We have made great friendships with numerous breeders from Illinois and surrounding states. Each of the goats on our farm receive daily handling from our young "goat whisperers" along with Mom and Dad! So, they are easy to handle in the showring. We have created our foundation herd with sound does & bucks. You can view show wins on our show page.
